Looking for free places to go and things to do in Singapore? Want to show the entire Singapore city to your children? Why not bring your children to the City Gallery at URA Centre?
It would be a simple yet educational excursion for the little ones to the City Gallery at URA Centre. My children were very intrigued when they saw the entire Singapore city mapped out with tiny building structures. They also had fun searching for various locations that they know, like where we stay, where the grandparents stay, where their kindergarten is at, and locating places of attraction like Gardens by the Bay, Art Science Museum, and the Changi Airport!
Having a little treasure hunt in locating various places on the gigantic Singapore city map!
The truth is, I was a little disappointed to find out that the City Gallery at URA Centre is currently undergoing some major renovations. Therefore, only the gallery at Level 1 is available, which meant there isn't that much to explore. But the good thing about kids is they can have fun anywhere!
There was an area with some graffiti exhibition and the kids had fun running around and sort of playing hide-and-seek. They also had fun looking out for familiar landmarks and items found on the graffiti walls.
Spotting one of their favorite fruits, our local king of fruits -- the durian!

Always on the lookout for spots to get the kiddos to take photos together! Indeed a simply outing, yet nevertheless still fun and joyful.
Please kindly note:
From 14 May to August 2018, Singapore City Gallery will be fully closed for a revamp. The ongoing temporary exhibitions and Island-wide model at Level 1 Atrium will still be available for viewing.
