It's the Children's Season in Singapore and the Singapore Art Museum always have something fun and interesting for the children every year. The theme for Imaginarium this year is "Into the Space of Time". It's a fun-filled excursion for both adults and children. Let your children get imaginative and creative at Imaginarium at Singapore Art Museum!
We were greeted by huge red trumpets at the entrance of Imaginarium at SAM. The boys had fun making funny sounds through the trumpets. Do note that the trumpets might be hot on a sunny day!
There are colorful murals and interesting drawings on the walls at the staircase, making them great spots for photographs!
There is an exhibit where there are many rows of mason jars on the wall and moving pictures of people in each jar. Have fun making a funny pose or doing a short dance in front of one of the cameras and then find yourself appear in one of those jars!
An exhibit where the kids looked at black and white photographs from the past by turning the handle and see the pictures move!
An exhibit where different scenes are projected on the walls. Get your image captured on the wall by waving, jumping or simply standing still in front of the camera. You can then spot your face in the family of snowman or be in the midst of roving bears and monkeys!
Admire three beautiful and intriguing paintings by a local artist and sit to view a video on the making of one of the paintings.
The kids getting comfortable lying on cushions with colorful threads woven all over. Be awed by the multi-colored woven items in this special exhibit!
Don't forget to press one of the ends of the jellyfish-like woven structure! Find out what happens when you squeeze on one of those tangling ends!
Look out for different famous people, sights, and buildings of Singapore on this amazing stretch of painting on the wall!
Allow your children to get creative by doing a drawing and making it colorful, then peg their artwork onto the wall!
More spots for children and adults to get comfortable and lie down on the huge cushions to admire the pictures hanging from the ceiling.
